Homily for the Christmas II
Like the Magi, we follow a star. We sense that love does fall from skies above.
Homily for the Christmas I
As we are hosting or visiting this Christmas season, I invite us to remember God’s message of “I love you” and to remember also that deep-down love is our message.
Homily for the The Fourth Sunday of Advent
I have a hunch that we long even for “bafflement, [for] something like submission – the willingness to be overpowered” by the One whom we know (as Paul said) “loved me and gave himself for me” (Gal 2:21).
Homily for the The Third Sunday of Advent
If for whatever reason when you are in the “wilderness” or in some way unhappy or wondering why it’s taking so long to grow in your faith or questioning if Jesus really is “the one” or if you should seek another, maybe remember this one thing: being a Christian is all about love.
Homily for the The Second Sunday of Advent
We live in a world with many messages – with many stories, or “myths,” if you will. It is important for us as Christians not to let this so-called “wisdom” of the world replace the Gospel.
Most of the homilies are given by the Rector, the Rev. Todd L. Miller. All others are delivered by homilists as noted. Please consider coming to Trinity some Sunday for a visit!
