John reminds us who have betrayed that there is hope in God’s abundant mercy

I hope the Bible’s stories of innocent sufferers, and also Jesus’ own innocent suffering, might open our eyes and hearts to all who are innocent and who suffer unjustly.

Lives are saved in this place every Sunday as Jesus, bit by bit, offers himself in the Eucharist.

So will God never abandon us, but will always be with us,accompanying us on the way, and working always on our behalf and for our good.

Faith, Jesus seems to be saying isn’t about fully getting it, rather it’s about paying attention to where our beliefs are leading us.
