Trinity's Sunday School program is now weekly at 10:00am.
On Thursday, September 28, 7:00pm, All Saints in Brookline will host an Evensong. Joined by parishes of the Charles River Deanery, the All Saints Choir will offer Choral Evensong for the Feast of Saint Michael and All Angels. The service features music by Margaret Burk, Jamie Apgar, Harold Friedell, and David Briggs. A light reception will follow.
The biblical word “angel” means, literally, a messenger. Messengers from God can be visible or invisible, and may assume human or non-human forms. Christians have always felt themselves to be attended by helpful spirits—swift, powerful, and enlightening.
Of the many angels spoken of in the Bible, only four are called by name: Michael, Gabriel, Uriel, and Raphael. The Archangel Michael is the powerful agent of God who wards off evil from God’s people, and delivers peace to them at the end of this life’s mortal struggle. “Michaelmas,” as his feast is called in England, has long been one of the popular celebrations of the Christian Year in many parts of the world.

Do you know of some projects that help meet needs in our communities or the world? Trinity supports several local and international projects. Matthew 25 is the outreach committee of Trinity. The committee suggests to the vestry projects that members recommend for inclusion in the budget. Matthew 25 will meet in the library on Sunday, October 1, following the service. Come and share your information and ideas!
Our Diocese is seeking nominations to replace our current Bishop who is scheduled soon to retire. The Bishop Nominating Committee has scheduled a series of listening sessions to gather input from you, the people of our diocese, regarding our vision for our future and the qualities we seek in our new bishop. Feedback from these sessions will help to guide our search process and will be incorporated in the diocesan profile that we will share with the prospective nominees. Click here for more information.
We invite you to take part in a new initiative that we are establishing at Trinity. Using the online service Lotsa Helping Hands, we are organizing a group of volunteers who are willing to help fellow parishioners based on needs that arise. Go here for more information.
The parish vestry voted in 2022 to go "mask friendly"; that is, unless otherwise indicated, masks are optional at Trinity Parish. Please note that, pending further guidance from the Diocese and local infection rates, the church may in future return to requiring face coverings for in-person gatherings.
Located at 11 Homer Street in Newton Centre on the lower level of Trinity Church, the Pantry is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and a member of the Greater Boston Food Bank. It is open most Tuesdays from 2:30–5:30pm and the third Saturday of each month from 11:30am–2pm.
New households are asked to fill out the Online Pantry Registration Form or print and fill out this paper form.
