This week's lesson: The Parable of the Leaven
11 February, 5:00 pm at All Saints Parish in Brookline
All are welcome for Choral Evensong commemorating Barbara C. Harris, offered by All Saints Parish in Brookline. Byron Rushing will be the guest preacher, and the service will feature music by Kerensa Briggs, Moses Hogan and Zanaida Stewart Robles. A light reception will follow. Contact All Saints Parish with any questions.
25 February, 2:00 pm at the Coolidge Corner Theatre
All Saints Parish and the Charles River Deanery are hosting a screening of the documentary The Philadelphia Eleven, at the Coolidge Corner Theater in Brookline. The film chronicles the struggle that took place fifty years ago in the Episcopal Church to allow women to be ordained as priests. A discussion with one of the filmmakers will follow the screening. For more information visit the All Saints Web site.
A hard copy of the current parish directory has been placed in the Dunbar Room for your convenience. Please take the time to look at your entry in it to update any of our contact information. When complete, we hope to publish this contact information in a printed booklet as well as a secure part of the parish Web site. Please stay tuned for more information.
Please have one person from each household fill out an image permission form in the Dunbar Room for the new year to let Trinity know your preferences regarding your image being published on various communication platforms (Facebook, the E-Weekly, etc). Please also let the office know if you explicitly do not give your permission for images to be used. Names of minors will never be placed next to images used.
We invite you to take part in a new initiative that we are establishing at Trinity. Using the online service Lotsa Helping Hands, we are organizing a group of volunteers who are willing to help fellow parishioners based on needs that arise. Go here for more information.
The parish vestry voted in 2022 to go "mask friendly"; that is, unless otherwise indicated, masks are optional at Trinity Parish. Please note that, pending further guidance from the Diocese and local infection rates, the church may in future return to requiring face coverings for in-person gatherings.
Located at 11 Homer Street in Newton Centre on the lower level of Trinity Church, the Pantry is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and a member of the Greater Boston Food Bank. It is open most Tuesdays from 2:30–5:30pm and the third Saturday of each month from 11:30am–2pm.
New households are asked to fill out the Online Pantry Registration Form or print and fill out this paper form. If you live in Newton and wish to be added to the CSFP delivery list, send an E-mail with your name, phone number, city, and family size.
