Sunday School

This week's lesson: The Story of Jesus and the Twelve. "When Jesus went to Jerusalem for the last time, he went with the Twelve. They were His special friends. Today we call them apostles. They met in an upstairs room for their last meal together. It was when Jesus told them He would always be with them - and us - when we share the holy Bread and Wine."

I wonder how the apostles felt knowing they were Jesus' special friends?
I wonder who your special friends are?
How do they provide you comfort and make you feel better when you are feeling sad, alone, and frustrated?
I wonder how you feel Jesus' connection with you?

The Environment in Creation – Book Discussion

Trinity’s Vestry invites the congregation to read and join in a weekly discussion of the Archbishop of Canterbury’s 2020 Lenten book, Saying Yes to Life, by Ruth Valerio, a book that shows reverence for the environment through the framework of the Days of Creation in Genesis.  We will continue where we left off in March after worship this Sunday, April 30.  The Vestry hopes that parishioners will be inspired by some of the practical suggestions on how we can appreciate and care for God’s creation.

Newton Clean Up Activity May 7

“Newton Serves” will take place this year on Sunday, May 7. Sign up to volunteer at the Mason Rice School grounds clean up, beginning at Noon that day. The vestry will organize a large group to walk together directly from church to that location following the book discussion on Saying Yes to Life (above). Visit this link at newtonma.gov for more information about the Newton Serves event, including registration.

Trinity Parish Continues to Follow 'Mask Friendly' Protocols

The Trinity Parish Vestry voted in 2022 to go "mask friendly"; that is, unless otherwise indicated, masks are optional at Trinity Parish. Please note that, pending further guidance from the Diocese and local infection rates, the church may in future return to requiring face coverings for in-person gatherings.

Pledging During a Pandemic

Thank you to all who continue to send in your pledge! Your faithfulness in keeping up your pledge helps Trinity Parish stay “in the black” during this time, and we are grateful. Pledges may be mailed to Trinity Parish at 11 Homer St., Newton Centre, MA 02459.
