April 2, 2023
Please note that there will not be Sunday School on Palm Sunday, April 2, nor on Easter Day, April 9. There will, however, be an Easter egg hunt next week following the Easter morning Liturgy.
This week's lesson: The Resurrection. "The women wanted to remember Jesus, even if it was sad. When they came to the tomb, they found that the stone had been rolled back and that the tomb was empty. Jesus had died on the cross, but somehow he was still with them as he is with us, especially in the bread and wine."
I wonder where you find Jesus in your life?
I wonder how you can tell that Jesus is always with you?
I wonder what you are looking forward to this Easter?
Trinity’s Vestry invites the congregation to read and join a weekly discussion of the Archbishop of Canterbury’s 2020 Lenten book, Saying Yes to Life, by Ruth Valerio, a book that shows reverence for the environment through the framework of the Days of Creation in Genesis. We will discuss the book’s six chapters after Sunday services during Lent. The Vestry hopes that parishioners will be inspired by some of the practical suggestions on how we can appreciate and care for God’s creation.
If you would like to make a memorial contribution toward the purchase of Trinity’s Easter lilies, please pick up a memorial envelope in the Narthex or Dunbar (coffee hour) Room. For names to be included in the Easter Day order of service, envelopes must be received in the office by Wednesday, April 5.
The Trinity Parish Vestry voted in 2022 to go "mask friendly"; that is, unless otherwise indicated, masks are optional at Trinity Parish. Please note that, pending further guidance from the Diocese and local infection rates, the church may in future return to requiring face coverings for in-person gatherings.
Thank you to all who continue to send in your pledge! Your faithfulness in keeping up your pledge helps Trinity Parish stay “in the black” during this time, and we are grateful. Pledges may be mailed to Trinity Parish at 11 Homer St., Newton Centre, MA 02459.
