May Your Lent Flow Into Easter

There are Christians whose lives seem like Lent without Easter. I realize that we do not experience joy in the same way in every phase of life—particularly in moments of great difficulty. Joy adapts and changes, but it always endures, even as a tiny glimmer of light. It is a light born of our certainty that we are infinitely loved. I understand the grief of those who have endured great suffering, but we must let the joy of faith awaken within us as a quiet yet firm trust, even amid the greatest distress.
