Word for the Week
I come to this alone place
March 24, 2024
March 24, 2024
I come to this alone place,
cold and bitter and silent as death.
Cold, the darkness,
bitter the wind,
silent, the voice of God,
silent, silent.
I sigh,
and the sound of mourning
pierces the black air,
I cry out into the night sky;
the stars look back,
cold and bitter and silent as death.
I lie, broken and blood-stained,
the darkness covers my tears.
My God! My God!
Why have you forsaken me!
