Our
Worship
Our
Sunday worship is the center of our parish life and the
focus of our continuous spiritual renewal.
During
the school year, the Sunday service starts at 10:30 A.M.
using the words and music of Holy Eucharist Rite II. Following
the service, we hold a coffee hour for a time of of fellowship
and opportunity for church committees to meet.
At midweek, we have a Wednesday evening Holy Eucharist service.
In
the summer, our Sunday service begins at 9:30 A.M. and the
Wednesday evening service is in recess.
Within
our worship, we anticipate our rector’s sermons, not
only as a time when we share the guidance of our rector
with all who seek to listen and learn, but also as a way
of weaving together scripture with our lives and the world
around us. We are fortunate, also, to have as priest associate,
the Rev. Sharon Ciccarelli, who, along with guest preachers,
adds insight and diverse interests to the experience of
reflection and renewal.
Throughout
the year, additional services commemorate the principal
events on the church calendar. For Christmas Eve, there
are two services: the first at 5:00 P.M. includes a children’s
pageant; the second at 10:30 P.M. features an expanded choir
and guest musicians. For Holy Week, there is a traditional
Maundy Thursday service with stripping of the altar, followed
the next day by Good Friday services. As a reminder of the
shared joy of all Christians, Trinity worships on occasion
with our neighboring Episcopal and Lutheran parishes.
