Our
Adult Education
Adult
education opportunities include occasional tutorials with
the rector after the Sunday service, evening Bible study,
special programs, outside speakers, and Lenten series talks
produced by Trinity and sister parishes. Over the years
topics have ranged from exploring Episcopalian worship (for
newcomers or those looking to re-examine their faith), to
the principles of the Muslim and Jewish faiths.
A
current parishioner notes: “As an adult and newcomer
to religion and worship, I enjoyed exploring with others
in this small informal class the historical and spiritual
aspects of Episcopalian faith.”

Beginning
in September, adult members of the parish will have
an opportunity every Sunday to take part in a Christian
education opportunity. For the most part these events
will begin after you have had a chance enjoy some
refreshments and fellowship. Learning opportunities
will include a variety of formats: sermon reflections,
Bible study, forums, as well as two ongoing groups,
Family Spirituality and an Inquirers Class for those
who wish to learn or review the basics of the faith.
Of
course, those who wish to simply take advantage of
the warm fellowship we so cherish at Trinity are welcome
to linger on in the renovated Dunbar Room over another
cup of coffee. Typically the Sermon Reflection/Discussion
Group meets the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month;
the Family Spirituality Group and Inquirers Class
meet the 2nd and 4th Sundays. |

Are
you new to the Episcopal Church? New to the Christian
Church? Never been baptized? Just a “refresher”
on the basics. A small group of parishioners gather
once or twice a month in the Rector’s study after
coffee hour to discuss the main points of Christian
belief and practice. While intended primarily for newcomers
to the Church, all individuals are invited and encouraged
to join in. |
Babysitting
and Child Care |
|
Babysitting
and childcare will be provided every Sunday when there
is an adult learning opportunity scheduled. |
